Mister cat
fell
in the lake
and we,
oblivious to his cries,
snuffled into our scarves and hats,
and scattered
cat biscuits
like
crunchy falling rain
waiting for the sun.

How cruel! Poor kitty.
Cruel?
I suppose it was.
I wrote it as if they hadn't heard him crying and scattered the biscuits for his return.
I think the biscuits will be eaten by magpies.
*laughs*
probably!
Can't do cat things yet.
But! Love the countdown Rachel!
*big grins - big hugs*
Sorry Aims - no offence meant.
~chuckles~ poor kitty...
I'd make too much of this one if I prattled on. Reminds me of how often we are oblivious to others' needs in our own rush to give them what we think they need. YKW was terrible about that. Love the images here. Very visual poem, Rachel.
Thanks Steph.
I wouldn't read too much into my poetry, though ;)
