Diverging Paths
Spells of ice and spells of fire,
spells to bind and spells to roam;
charms to lift a man much higher
runes to separate the bones.
Books of necromantic lore
keep the dead from sleeping still;
Tomes of knowledge, seeds of war –
words are chanted - good or ill.
Charms of darkness, charms of light
amulets when strength is spent --
What makes the magic black or white?
Intent.
