Frozen Wetlands

Frosty path
Old leaves cling
to withered skin
while frozen mud
clings to the imprints
of yesterday's paws.

Moss,
a miniature forest
on a lump
of weathered concrete.
An old bike,
half-hidden by grass,
becomes a work of beauty
dry-brushed in ice.

Old beam
waterlogged and broken
by ice and rain

Weathered concrete
colonised by moss and grass
new life for old.

What beautiful pics today Rachel...all silvery. I love silver!

Isn't that the old bike that's been there for a long time and you've taken a pic of it before?

Everything looks different with a coating of shimmer.
