Chesterfield Flea Market

No need to buy -
Blackpool cruet,
Just like Ada has.

Old tin buckets
just the thing
for kicking

The wash basket was £10 -
too steep for my meager pocket.

Ad-hoc assemblages
better than any
gallery of art.

Tin bath too much
for Bear's taste.
Hosepipe suffices.

Literary guerrillas --
An Ungodly Child
ordered, bought and left on the shelves.

Wooohoo! My eyes snapped center when I saw the blue cover! How wonderful to see your book out in the light of the day!

As for the rest - that washbasket? You can buy one at Walmart for less than half that price! And the tin buckets looked perfect for kicking I agree - but just too pretty to do so!

Is this market inside or outside? And if outside - is it warm enough there for an outside market in January?

We had another blizzard last night!

This is all outdoors. If the weather is exceptionally bad the market closes but otherwise it's here rain or shine, though only Thursdays is second-hand.

What do you mean only Thursdays is second-hand?

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday: market is closed
Tuesdays is mostly fabric stalls and clothes
Thursdays is flea market (second-hand goods)
Friday and Saturday is an every stall market.

i'm really excited to read your book, but i've banned myself from buying books until i've finished all the ones i've not read yet - which could take a while. yours is top of the list for when i'm done, though!

*chuckles*
I admire your will power!
I have a whole bookcase of TBR. I'd never buy another book!

It's a running gag in my books that Frederick always brings Ada something with 'Blackpool' on it from his annual holiday :)

Like B, I am on a book buying freeze until I can rid my home of one bookcase. I have too many books and I am determined to read them and be rid of them. But I definitely want to read your book.

Also, I need to ask . . . is literary guerrilla something like guerrilla promotions? In other words, did you insert your book where others could find/buy it on the sly? I'm not sure what LG means and I'm curious.

Satia -- That's exactly what we did -- we ordered the book from Smiths and then sneaked it onto the shelf and left it for other people to buy / browse.

I was in Borders today (seeing Nik at his book signing and came close to snapping, but managed not to. I have about 40 TBR books - difficult, but do-able..... and I can't wait to get some of the ones in my list to buy!

Wow, you sneaky things you! I do hope someone buys it and then they order another and another.
Lovely flea market photos as ever.
