operations manual

I need no operations manual

to find the starter coil

and begin my life afresh.

What I need is the drive shaft

and the engine oil

and the motivational tape

that unwinds inside the player.

I need a roof rack

to shove the baggage I always carry

and a bungee cord

to tie down the boot.

And finally I need a puncture or two

to encourage me to stay.

Perhaps just a new(er) car?

I would love to see a Morris Minor

Actually -- I don't have a vehicle at all!

Not owning a vehicle is a state to aspire to. OK, maybe a bike! I can't say I like the poem as much as others you've posted, but you set a high standard. And I don't really "get" much re cars.

Thanks EB.
Not a great poem, I agree, but today I had the best novel writing day ever, ond wrote through all the outstanding plot points on both WIPs.

Respectfully, I disagree. This one really resonated with me.
