dot Convoluted

A Biblical mark
of the damned and flesh-welders
who laid out the vellum and opened the holes.
The trumpeting bark
of your sapient elders
devouring by hand all the moribund souls.
The onion eaters,
the trainers of fleas;
Remember the grave-bound you sent to the mist
The carpet-clad beaters
who do as they please --
ideas convoluted and thoughts often missed.

I like this but I'm not sure why. Perhaps the beat of it - the rhythm....I don't know.

It trundles along, I think.

The rhythm of this is very good, yet I came away sad. It's very good, the poem, and the painting is deceptively cheery. Nicely done.

Thanks, Steph.
I don't think I'll do anything with it.
