For a moment I read that the wind was blowing the gravestones away.
That would have been comic :)
I have to say that I read it the same way as spacedlaw. A really good post for all that. I did find it amusing - even without the misread.
You know I'll have to write a story about blown-away gravestones now!

I wish it were older, though. There are others in Chesterfield which date back further.
