I suppose if it was that good I wouldn't be distracted by the cars, buildings etc behind it. I've visited her garden in st ives a couple of times so don't know her stuff that well- just remember being entranced by it. Remember reading about a sculptor called Paul Mount whose looked work interesting too. still like you said nice to have a hepworth in chesterfield.

I don't know if I'm very keen on that sculpture to begin with and even the snow on top of it doesn't help.
Much as I like her work, this one is a bit rubbish.
I think maybe it's just in the wrong place. But then I am very fond of her sculptures so maybe I'd find it hard to not like any of them.
You may be right. I'm very familiar with her work (=fine art degree) but this is on I don't like, while I appreciate the 'kudos' of it being here.
