It just goes to show how individual each person's writing space is. I couldn't handle that much stuff around me. I'd be constantly finding things to do with it that were more interesting, or at least more distracting, than what I was supposed to do.
Stu -- I'm not just a writer, though. I have a degree in painting and this desk is my 'work area'. When I stop writing I often paint watercolours while watching TV on the PC
