Might be something in the Foxglove or Orchid family? If you have a close-up of the flower it would help.

Either a Bee Orchid or a marsh orchid lovely capture Rachel.
Thank you Rose. It's neither, but bee orchid was close.
One learns something new everyday! It is a lovely flower one might just get the urge to spread it about :)
