April Poems 2016/08
struck off my visiting list
I don't want the hassle
of prejudiced white folks
deciding who to refuse service to.
You want ID to use the ladie's?
Sure, here's my driving licence,
my passport, my birth certificate
what's that? You still don't believe me
because I've got a deep voice
and you want a DNA test?
What if I decline, not because I think
you'll find XY chromosones
but because I don't want my DNA
on your computer records.
We both know there's no security on your accounts
and I don't want to be fitted up
for that bank job your brother did last Friday.
