short forms 10th August 2017

she's lost
in a world passed
her father buried anew
and his house alive with the rot
of years

it gets harder
to write short poems
a life worth nothing
a relatively quick death
is too much to ask for

amalgamating hard drives
a residue of pictures
twenty years

most are corrupted
old memories fading
into unknown formats

photographs didn't do that
