Englandburied by snowfall
the early crocus

morning snowfall silences Monday
suspends activities on a bank holiday
tyre tracks on the road notwithstanding
no cars go past
even dogwalkers are scarce
as the flakes turn to freezing rain
just the sound of the dishwasher
and the groan of the fan
of a Copenhagen computer.
