from an old friend
trying to lose weight
I thought she was beautiful
just how she was
but her controlling boyfriend
disagrees.
I remember his negativity;
his passive-aggressive
"you're too gig for jiu-jitsu"
and feel glad I quit.
So much happier now,
though I miss the self defence
