discarded in the woods:
three bags from Tesco:
five rib-eye steaks
still in their styrofoam and shrink-wrap packaging;
three pounds of unopened cheddar
and a bag from Cohen's Chemist,
containing a large number
of used and clean needles,
and some other medications.
I'm told it's a stash
of stolen goods meant for resale
to buy another baggie
when the current high wears off.
I gather it all up,
dispose of it properly;
the kids are off school
and there are loose dogs in these woods
and someone will get hurt.
There are worse things than Covid-19
and some of them
are right here in Chesterfield.
