turns to morning rain

My American friend
had never heard of 'The Troubles'
and grew up in Reagan era,
where funding the IRA
was thought a good thing to do.
We lived through it;
bombs in Belfast, London;
Even Birmingham
where a blast missed me by thirty minutes
which was Too Close
for a fourteen year old kid.
