sunshiny morning
silence on the steel rails
train strike

dustbin liner
just inside the porch
full of letters and bills
and the thoughts I can't deal with.
I'm going to lose the house
just as I'm losing the job
because I can't go outside.
The hatred of ordinary people
when they encounter a transwoman
has me afraid to leave my home.
Suicide is an option
only a few discourage.
