constant waking
worrying about time management
lazy morning

my half-cousin
would be in his late forties now
if he's even still alive.
His father overdosed on heroin
and turned his world upside down.
He'll never know me
or that I loved his mother
with an almost religious passion
but she never understood my love
for lime marmalade.
