Neighbour sniffs with disdain
when visiting my garden to claim
logs for his wood burning stove.
"Why have you got your greenhouse
under that great, big tree?" he asks,
but next-door's tree wasn't there twenty years ago
and the body of my missing husband
has fed my tomato plants for years
with the 'Best in Show' certificate
he could never win in life.
