I read on,

hoping for another vision

of the end of the world;

by fire, by flood, by ice,

by genetic instability

or by the intervention of a new species.

St. John the drinker of hallucinogen

predicted the wave of murder hornets

and the raising of the dead.

I was brought up Catholic,

so I don't believe in God,

but in the destruction of the earth

for a short-term profit

of a few indifferent men.
