attention span declines
with the age of reels and TikTok
leaving abstract art to wither.
Who now has the patience
to understand a piece
that took me three years to complete
when classical renaissance art
has been reduced to memes;
modern text overlaid on tiny brushstrokes
and why would I even care
when no-one buys my paintings anyway?
Best I can hope for is a meme
of someone saying "wot?"
