bloke in a pub doorway
how I am glad
that we're not related
your life looks so sad
if all you aspire to
is a pint and a fag
you probably see me
as just some old bag.
You're ugly and balding
and grimy with dirt
the bulge of your belly
not covered by shirt.
I'll just walk on by
ignore your hostility
and pity your wife
and her hard-earned humility.
