On Dan the Geezer's Daily Missive
A wise man once talked about momentum
and that it is not born of inspiration
nor yet of quite-the-best-intention
once a feature of the calmer nation.
Nay, for 'tis born of constant motion
of beginning something thou must needs do
five minutes' walk today to start a notion
to do at least as much tomorrow, too.
Thy daily writing practice doth not ride
on inspiration from an inward source
but instead upon momentum slide
where habit now becomes the driving force.
Ten thousand hours can bring perfection
an art to perpetuate attention.
