glorious sun
and I have an infection
dizzy spells

digging through the detritus
of my father's garage
I come across artifacts of my childhood.
The first tin drum I learned on;
a photograph album of my grandparents,
faded with age
and faded with deadname memory;
a rolled up set of woodworking tools
and the overgrown rockery
I built in memory of Mum.
