three downward vapour trails
lit by morning sunshine
against a winter-blue sky.
My first assumption
is falling meteors
and I wonder if the earth will die today.
But no.
We have another fifty years or so
of blaming everyone else.
I'm doing my bit for the carbon footprint:
I won't have a joy-ride into space.
