over the garden

the limited palette of Lanzarote
white stonework, black volcanic ash
makes me long for the green hills of England,
Back home, I miss the warm mornings
and balmy, beautiful evenings
but not the heat of the day
or the endless plains of lava rock
a real-life Mordor.
