interest rates
increasing for the tenth consecutive month
as loan agents rub their hands.
More house with foreclosed loans
means bonus profits for banks
and bargains for landlords.
I've lost a house in this way
all my possessions sent to landfill
when, contrarily, some of those items
were worth five times the mortgage
but depression and fear
from my employers at the time
kept me from opening mail.
