hospital visit
on a Sunday night;
mercifully short
for the amount of pain.
A ripped-off toenail
is a torture method for a reason
leaving me unable to walk.
The nurse tapes the nail in place
"to facilitate growth of the replacement"
but it leaves me in agony.
