Where were you
on November the fifth?
Did you vote for internment camps
to "deport" all those non-white Americans?
And did you realise that "internment"
was the new name for "concentration"
and that "deportation" meant "extermination?"
Did you campaign against migrant workers
and then complain that no-one would do those jobs
that paid below-minimum wage?
Were your hotel sheets dirty?
Your crops unpicked?
Your walls unplastered?
Your houses not built?
Did you complain about the prices going up
because of the new tax on imports?
Did you vote for mass deportation
and not expect your parents to be taken
by white me in guns and masks
and red-white-and-blue swastikas?
