Review
I listened to Alanis' new disc
expecting joyful song and new laments
but the music is of meditative bliss
and not the angry voice of malcontent.
It doesn't help I had it on 'repeat'
and thought it most repetitive at first
especially the track with jumping feet
"The Lightworker's Lament" my brain to burst.
The album becomes reminiscent of
the seventies explosion of New Age
where Brian Eno utilised the love
of tranquil ambience upon the stage.
So in the month of existential dread
I think I'll listen to The Clash, instead.
