Beneath her bed, the slats over the frame
are easily removed, and she remembers
Richard Long, an artist who gained fame
by making landscape art with stones and timbers.
Taking out two slats (because she can remove
no more before the mattress sags in two
for she took another four when it behove
to make a stretcher frame on cue)
she uses pins and strip of dental floss
to connect the pair with makeshift hinge
then carries the device back up to toss
it out and onto snow some landscape art impinge.
