VIII.I
Her tobacco and her papers at the till
have a total cost of one pound and five pence.
She empties out her bag, starts counting coins to fill
the invoice , though the shopkeeper seems tense.
She slide across a pile of change for him to count again
which he does with a look like holding grudge;
slams it in the money tray and hands her back a ten
that she uses up to buy a Cadbury's Fudge.
"Are you okay?" she asks, as she looks up
deep into eyes of deepest chocolate brown;
He looks away and gestures to the door with coffee cup
"It's that bloke who just left that brings me down."
