Another spoke of nature's annual wheel
brings Mabon, the feast of autumn solstice
when day and night are equal length. Appeal
to Elder Gods and thank the harvest ones. Dismiss
regret for summer gone once more and plan
to lay in stores for winter's dark and cold
'tis time to welcome death and gather what you can
and greet the winter's birth with faces bold.
On England's bloody shores the migrants die
with fascist calls to send all non-whites home
while right wind flags from every lamp post fly
the councils quietly revoke the right to roam.
And as the Wheel of History turns once more
America binds English men to 1930's lore.
