On the Feeding of Beloved Canines

When thou goes to feed the doglets kindly heed

these instructions one doth carefully outlay

for thou then know how best it is to feed

these hunger-driven pooches every day.

A morning feed comes well before their walk

their little tummies need two hours to settle

then evening feed when day has come to dark

but they wilt surely adjust to thy schedule.

A mug of biscuits split between the pair

a quarter to the Widget is her need

then Cookster will receive the greater share

then add to each a sachet of meat feed.

And if thou canst but face it add a dash

of salmon oil to each their morning mash.
