Butterfly Party

I can't express how much I love this field. It ticks all the boxes for me -- or will when the trees are a little more mature -- I love the fact that it's been reclaimed by nature from man. I tried to carry one of the 4' square pieces of board home today but it was solid wood and weighed a ton. I brought a smaller opiece home instead, to make a cover for the fire pit, but it was too small.

This is wind and grass and trees.

A Meadow Brown butterfly

it was the unofficial birthday of Luisa and Gina today (Luisa's is the 3rd, Gina's the 6th) and look what happened to the garden!

Luisa was game - despite (you can't see it in the
picture) the pouring rain.

And Gina, of course!

Gina is very clever to have managed to stay on the "animal" for so long.
The trouble with semi-anonymous blogs is that people like me get very confused. Obviously Rachel, you are leatherdykeuk. Presumably, DK, Gina and Luisa are all members of your household.
Sounds as though you've had four birthdays in the last few weeks, so Happy Birthday to everyone.

Thanks Pierre :)

You're spot-on. DK and Luisa are my partners (three way handfasting) and Gina is DK's mum. All four of us have birthdays within a montk of each other starting with mine and ending with Gina's next week.

It is confusing, I must say. We had a great day, all good fun even though it poured with rain. Thanks for the post Rach.

That toy looks like so much fun!
It's good that you had fun despite the rain (but then again I suppose that if you allowed rain to get in the way of fun, you'd rarely have any).

It was fun :) It cost quite a lot to hire, though, and would have been even better in the dry.

I bet it cost quite a bit to rent!

The Man and I laughed! Bull riding - something that seems so American - in England! What fun!

The pics of the gals on the bull - brave! Too bad it rained - but going out in it like that - what spirit!
