Plants and Poles

Yesterday's image
of a house by the lake side
- Wish I could buy it.

Laurel bursting out
from encircling fences,
clutching at the bars.

A small garden view
outside the kitchen shows a
riot of colour.

A somewhat blurred shot
that shows me carrying a
ten foot white birch pole.

Oh Rachel! I would love that house too and it's by that lake? Oh sigh! What a perfect place to live - love - and write.

I didn't know laurel looked like that and I was glad to see it.

And - the shot of your garden - I went - oh! Calla lilies!

Now - what the hell on the piece of birch! I laughed!

And why do you have to keep the dogs apart? Do they get all tangled when you are walking them?

(How was your birthday?)

It is lovely, though it is very close tp the main road on one side

It can get out of hand if it's not kept cut.

Indeed :)

I'll have to show you my collection - I bring home all sorts of logs to make thing for the garden. Currently I'm collecting wood to make a rustic shelter for Aimee and Sue who still smoke (outside).

I don't really - that's just how they were at that moment. Bear is attached to that lead, too.

(How was your birthday?)

It went well :)

Fabulous meal
with guests dressed as Mexicans
(drawn-on moustaches)
followed by a fabulous
book-shaped marzipanned sponge cake.

What fun your birthday sounded. Think of all the gnats by that house Rach. Water always attracts them.
