At first glance I thought they were lilacs - but enlarging I can see how beautiful they are.
This was last week. They're a bit ragged now.
How lovely. The rhododendron here are overshadowed by azaleas, and I detest that. This is so sweet.
Rhododendrons here can get a bit invasive, alas, and shelter the oak fungus, which is killing our oak trees.
