There was a lot of disagreement about the artistic merit of the sculpture when it was first put there! I like it.
The artist said that it encompassed three meanings of 'spring' - the shape, the season, and the fact that it is located where the first spring was found, which led to the creation of this Spa town.

Now that's interesting.
It looks a good spot for student artists. I wish there were easels and canvases spread all about.
The other side of the church was even better for drawing.

Yes, I got the spring/ spring (but not the season - not sure how that was represented). All public art should be encouraged, IMO.
