Yep school rooms,nuns, and the cranky pencil sharpeners that reduced a pencil to nothing so quickly. Hated going up front to sharpen the classes pencils - often got clipped on the ear by the nuns for overdoing it. But the smell - it was good :)) Funny how you brought that back - convent days

They're known as Pencil cedars because they were originally used almost exclusively to make pencils out of. Juniperus virginiana - Wikipedia

Not a convent school here but a Catholic girl's school -- taught by nuns as well :)
