Another sunny day
as the world grows quiet
Covid-19

my hands:
cut bleeding
from a dozen different wounds
and I'm pretty sure
there's a thorn stuck in there
from cutting away the brambles
from the apple tree.
I love blackberries
but not in my garden,
where the thickets grab my hair
and make everything harder.
