What do we do
when an explosion wipes out a port
and makes a hundred thousand people
homeless in an instant;
where a month's wages for a doctor
drops fromm £500
to £60 almost overnight
and a loaf of bread
now costs a day's wage?
Use the heart emoji on facebook
of the new, caring emoji
and move on with our lives
where the pressing urgency
is people making fun of the President
on a popular social media site.
