glimmers of sunlight

I made some stupid decisions
and ended up owing more money
than I can ever hope to repay,
so instead I've told the bank
I won't pay for all the things
I promised to buy in the future
and they said "okay, that's cool,"
and I gave a big sigh of relief
end stopped paying for my children's health
and for my electricity bills.
Phew.

Oh, wait.
That wasn't me,
that's the Tory government.
