I saved my pocket money
for a ZX Spectrum home computer
but couldn't wait the twelve weeks
it took to ship to me.
I bought a ZX 81 in the meantime
learned to program
played the most amazing games.
What would my seventeen year-old self
have thought of modern computers?
My desktop PC, my Oculus set-up?
Would he have been as desperate as I was
to be an old, old woman?
