reducing the heat

a piece of land

within walking distance of the coast;

enough to build a tiny house

for me and my dog

to live out our lives.

I'll be no bother; live net zero;

just write and paint and love my dog

and wave at passers-by

who stand and smile at my little house

with its walls of gingerbread and candy.
