Interior in Paddington
always we are surprised
by the Bulldog in the Burlington Arcade.
Unknown
outside the gentleman's outfitters
a dapper gentleman
sporting a white fedora
dusted by soot and smog--
a prisoner to a sense of outré chic
left a little too far behind
when his father was still a young man
and standing by the dying leaves
of an indoor palm.
