Dear council,

why did you remove the rubbish bin

from the middle of Central Avenue?

I was well used and always full

of pizza boxes and take-away cartons

and now that it's gone

the pavement is full of rubbish.

What did you expect?

This isn't the seventies,

where there was a national program

of 'Keep Britain Tidy'

and you don't seem to employ litter pickers anymore,

relying on the public instead.

Where did you think that rubbish would go?

In genereal people are litterers

and your local election promise

was more bins, not fewer.
