loony dog
barking at every door slam
my anxiety

Within the frostbit Heathtown snow and ice
she shivers in the wind that blows through gaps
in council windows made of steel and glass
and labelled "Here be Scum" on copper maps.
A student of the nearby Tower of Art
which wore a thorny crown of telecoms
her struggle is not one of fading heart
but more of homophobia and bombs.
London streets and Admirals were targets
of these Thatcher years of thugs and reprobates
who decided that their calling was a market
to eradicate the world of Queers and Gays.
A person of her pers'nal disposition
was like to be statistics on a sheet
provided by the Oversight Commission
of violence on every British street.
