How easy for thou to love thy love's love
to see why he hath given up his heart
to she who sleeps within the room above
and decorates her house with such great art.
And though the journey here took many steps
thou canst but love this small, idyllic town
where language is but barely known and yet
flows sweetly where these fields of vines are grown.
At home beloved pooch is left bereft
sans mistress and thy co-dependant friend
convinced that now abandoned she has left
but little use for food ere life will end.
But fully half thy time in France has gone
and thou'll be back at home ere week is done.
