early April
before the onslaught
of chocolate eggs
and insincerity
there appears a bready product
I cannot resist.
Hot Cross Buns
eaten cold with salted butter
brings the gluttony of shemomedjamo
where I can't leave one in the packet.
And then the regret
of eating all four.
