Julian hasn't read it! Have you?
An Ungodly Child follows Harold Waterman, an unlikely hero, and his summoned demonic familiar Jasfoup. When Harold is infected by an incurable disease after meeting the Angel of Pestilence, otherwise known as Jedith, he turns to the black arts to find a cure. Jasfoup the demon is only too happy to help, as long as Harold can pay for his services. Meanwhile, the three angels of destruction are out to prove that there could be an antichrist, if only Harold would believe it. Gillian, Harold's vampire girlfriend, is not so sure.

End of a Shed
Since I missed her out yesterday, here's a picture od Trickster running. I have to say that she doesn't look terribly elegant but she's having a good time.We did the usual walk to the field, around it and then back through the cemetery, with a slight detour at the end to get a four-pint jug of semi-skimmed from the shop. The dogs cry when I tie them up.

I think this is the first grave I've come across with the name 'Ada' - one of the secondary characters in the Harold and Jasfoup novels. Here she's surrounded by wild roses which would suit her well. In the books she's the secret lover of Lucifer and mother to Harold, though she's also half fae.

This is an interesting shed on the allotments next to the cemetery. I thought our shed in the garden was falling over but it has nothing on this one. Of course, this one wouldn't do any damage whereas ours is the size of a garage and would end up next door. I really must get some more roofing felt.
Did I ever post about the two fantastic sheds at the back of the nearby shops? Perhaps I didn't but I can't now. This was them on the 18th of June and this is them today - just a pile of planks and corrugated iron.

Arts and Dafts

My first bright thing of the day is how pleased I was to have a glimpse of Harold, twenty-five years into the future. He ends up, I'm pleased to see, with three daughters and at least two grandchildren, one of whom is this darling girl, Violent.
Isn't she delightful? Five years old and in her best black dress and stripy stockings for a Sunday afternoon visit to grand-dad.
Second today was a request by a publisher for a full manuscript of DEAD LINE

This is one of the Harold and Jasfoup books, as yet unpublished. The publisher requested a printed copy after reading the first two chapters by e-mail so I uploaded it as a 'writer-only' copy to lulu and had it shipped directly to the publisher. It cost me £15 but that was probably cheaper than the ink, paper and postage were I to print it on my printer.

My third thing today was walking with the dogs. We have two Jack Russells and a German Shepherd. They get on surprisingly well.
This was the view as I walked through the cemetery and looked up at the sky.
